Hair...

So most creatures are vain and for most humans its their hair. I am no exception. I dont have a lot and its starting to thin due to age but I still pamper it to no end.

In my continued quest to be hip and natural I stumbled upon this great product line that can even be found in most Shoppers Drug Marts in Canada

Giovanni Cosmetics

Right now I'm using several of his hair and body products but this rave is most for the Triple Treat Tree Oil Shampoo.
I have been using this shampoo now for a couple of months and I absolutely adore it. I'm not a huge fan tea tree oil because of the smell but this shampoo has it blended with a mint extract that when combined is absolutely divine!!

I am also now trying the Triple Treat Conditioner and will update in a later entry about it.

The other Giovanni product I use is their body lotion..the Grapefruit Sky lotion to be exact and its another product that I cant rave enough about.

Because of migraines I cant stand heavily scented products so its very nice that the grapefruit is only lightly noticeable. I also use it most everyday which for me is a good sign because lotion has always been one of those things I buy with good intentions but later cant be bothered to use.

Giovanni also makes other all natural hair products and I'm sure eventually I should get through most of them:)

Next Week:

Natural toothpaste that doesnt taste like crap!!

First Posts are always the hardest

First posts can either make or break a blog and decide if a reader will want to read future posts.
My goal with this blog is to share the things I'm trying to do in my life to help the planet and be and stay green. I am also hoping this blog will give me some accountability as its pretty hard to say things in writing and then not actually do them in real life. This will be my testament.
First off I must say that right now I'm not as Green as I'd like to be. Its hard when you are slammed all the time with "wants" and you have a significant other that doesn't 100% share your passion. But I aim to do this and hopefully will have some online buddies cheering me on:)
It's also hard because right now I work for a major automobile company. In becoming more "aware" I'm not sure where this will lead and later down the road I may not stay with the company. I feel that if I'm going to do this I cannot make compromises in any part of my life. Well o.k. maybe some compromises with my SO.
I cant promise that I will post everyday but I do promise that I will once a week with highlights of what changes I made. I will try and post links I think will be of interest, articles and book and product reviews. And when we get our own apartment I will post on on how we're making more environmentally green and healthy. There will also be some post on my other quest of Socially Responsible investing as we're starting RRSP's in the near future.

So if I havent bored you already I hope you will bookmark this blog and maybe share it with friends and family

~Sincerely,
Terra Skye
